Korroosion toimitus on valinnut vuoden 2008 parhaat albumit ja seuraavassa ovat nähtävissä sekä koko toimituksen yhteiset mietteet, että jokaisen osallistujan henkilökohtaiset listat. Albumeita listatessa ei tyydytty minkäänlaisiin genrerajoituksiin, joten albumit on valittu kaikista vuoden julkaisuista musiikin lajista riippumatta. Tämän vuoden äänestys oli jopa niin tiukka, että kahden kärkeen sijoittuneen albumin välille muodostui eroa vain kahden pisteen verran. Äänestykseen osallistuivat Korroosion toimituksesta Aki Nuopponen, Jussi Tuulensuu, Susanna Torsti, Jukka Korkiamäki, Joona Paajanen, Lasse Lindqvist, Mika Oja, Teijo Aflecht, Antti Vaheri, Otto Trygg, Ville-Pekka Alakulppi, Aleksi Ahonen, Ilari Tenhovuori, Jaakko Nurminen, Henri Kukanaho, Tuomas Piipponen ja Samuli Sirkiä. Kukin osallistuja valitsi kaksikymmentäviisi albumia vuodelta 2008 ja näiden listojen mukaan laskettiin toimituksen yhteinen listaus.
